Watermelon Margarita Recipe

Last summer, while hosting a 4th of July party with his fiancé Andie, Thomas found himself having a ton of leftover watermelon. Inspiration struck, and a refreshing cocktail was born. Please enjoy this fresh watermelon margarita concoction from Thomas.

Ingredients:

  • Seedless watermelon

  • Blanco tequila of your choice

  • Mint

  • Lime

  • Soda water

  • Rock salt (rim)

Steps:

  1.  Prep, dice, and juice one seedless watermelon

  2. Strain all pulp until you have clean watermelon juice

  3. Store watermelon juice in the fridge or any cool place

  4. In a cocktail shaker, mix 2 parts blanco tequila, 2 parts fresh watermelon juice, 1 part lime juice, 2-3 mint leaves, and a hefty scoop of ice

  5. Shake until frothy

  6. Prep your margarita glass by adding a salt rim

  7. Pour your mix through a cocktail strainer over ice in a classic salted rim margarita glass, or neat in a chilled cocktail coupe glass. For added fizz, add soda water to taste.

  8. Garnish with a sprig of mint

  9. Serve and enjoy!
