Our celebration activities for our 30th Anniversary are ramping up! We are also launching our new 30 in 30 campaign, a monthly video collage that markets 30 concepts, ideas, or even words in 30 seconds. This month is 30 things AA plans to do this year to celebrate our 30th Anniversary! AA will adopt quarterly themes this year, with Future-Forward Vision being the focus for this quarter. As we boldly step into exciting new sectors like water, energy, and the Olympics, our commitment to the transportation and planning sectors—where our journey began—remains as strong as ever.

    What better way to kick-off 2024 than with some exciting new wins? Since November of 2023, we have won 12 projects that total more than $2,244,718. We are very proud to be continuing work in the following regions: Coachella Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Luis Obispo, the City of Glendale, and more!

Project Spotlight

Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) 71/91 Interchange Project 

AA has been at the forefront with RCTC on finally improving the sorely-needed improved connection between the 71 and 91 freeways here in our backyard. Led by our Construction Team members, Thomas and Isaac, AA helped launch the project in early 2023 with a major Groundbreaking Ceremony, and we will continue our outreach support until the project is done in 2025. The scope of the project includes significant enhancements to the existing infrastructure, such as the replacement of the single-lane loop connector between eastbound 91 and northbound 71 with a new, two-lane, direct connector ramp. Additionally, we have contributed to the construction of an eastbound 91 auxiliary lane, the realignment of the eastbound 91 on-ramp from Green River Road, and the reconfiguration of southbound 71 to accommodate the new direct connector.

Here is a look at what we have done so far: 

  • Deployed 52 construction updates and produced 35 videos

  • Made weekly updates to the RCTC webpages and managed the project helpline and email

  • Managed the project Facebook and X (Twitter) accounts with weekly social media posts that included graphics, GIFs, stories, reels, and videos

  • Ran comprehensive campaigns for full SR-91 closures, including social media ads, Google ads, What's App Spanish ads, radio ads, e-blasts, and flyer canvassing

  • Our Badge Collectors
